I wonder if deviant art will adapt to the new waves of art presentation.
Now it seems that instagram is the best way to quickly post your image and quickly scroll through others.
I feel that my deviantwatch has been overflowed with groups that post anything, creating a clutter instead of a good stream of work. The thumbnails format is not working, the clicking through images and deleting them from my watch, it's tedious. I hope DA is working to make a better flow on this site.
I used to really believe this was the place to present my work. Now I'm not sure, I don't know where is. I think tumblr is a good spot because I see a clear way of how much traffic a picture of mine can get. Instagram for more ways anyone can see my work. I think the comment/fav system here has been super simplified in the mobile generation.
I take a lot of photos these days, but I don't post them here. I don't know, seems like it may be pointless. It's tough out there with anyone in the world doing the same art. I have to find the unique properties.
For my filmmaking endeavor, I wanted to see what getting big on youtube is like. One video of mine went viral, but I didn't really see that giving me something. It's tougher. I still want to make quality films and videos. DA had a confusing video submission process from what I remember.
I've graduated college recently, so it's all up to me now. No more professors to grade me. Different world now.
